I was driving home from work today listening to a local radio station when they had one of those contests where you call in and win tickets. Unfortunately I was driving through the one town where my cell phone always, always, always drops my call. So my reaction was somewhat muted when the DJ picked up the phone and said I was the proper caller. I was 99.9999999% sure the call would drop. Yay, me, it didn’t. So after I had feigned my excitement to the best level I could, the DJ informed me that the tape had not recorded and we would have to do it all over again. I was not much better the second time but I still get the tickets!

The good news though, is for the first time, I get to go see Willie Nelson perform next week.

The above song is my favorite Willie song of all time. He is one of the few performers that can bring a tear to your eye or any emotion at all with his music.

We haven’t been to many shows lately but that is about to change. We have tickets to see George Strait and Martina McBride next week. I will post my picture of my meeting with the troubadour from over 20 years ago this week.

While I was at work today I checked my e-mail and was so excited, I forgot what I was doing at work when it informed me that Bruce tickets go on sales Saturday. Even better the kids will be here and hopefully I can make make up for the 3 Doors Down fiasco of a few years ago. Even better, when I got home I discovered it was the first show of his tour currently scheduled.

I got the music in me!
