As I posted earlier here; we are going to celebrate Laila’s birthday by taking a cruise. We are very excited and its time to fill in all the last minute details. As I mentioned in that post we are not going solo. Laila’s parents and son and girlfriend will be joining us.

We were planning on driving but when I found airfare for 4 of us for $427 round trip all taxes included, I had to jump on it. In order to get that fare we had to come in the Saturday before the cruise and spend 2 nights in a hotel. I have been trying like heck for the last 2 weeks to get us something nice for a reasonable price. Priceline did me well again. we will be staying at the Hotel InterContinental Miami (pictured above). Its a 4 star hotel right on the bay! The going rate for when we wanted to be there was $208 a night. We got it for $92 a night plus taxes.

Now I am looking to get an equally good deal on a rental car as our plan for that Sunday is to drive to the Florida Keys!

I don’t know if I have ever been more ready for a break.
