Toughest ticket in NASCAR

Traditionally the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway has been the toughest ticket to get in NASCAR. With the economic downturn they are have gotten easier.  I received a call today telling me that there were tickets to be had for the right price…………FREE. You know my motto “Free is for Me!”

The issue I had though was hotel rooms in the area were going for around $220 a night for a Super 8. This would not suit my hotel snobbiness or my refusal to pay full price for a hotel room. So it was off to priceline.com. While unable to secure something in the immediate area, I did find 2 nights lodging at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge. The only negative is it is 100 miles away, but its a resort town with plenty to do!

The going rate there was a minimum of $124 plus tax for 1 night. for the grand total of $127.62, I was able to get both Friday and Saturday. I am unsure if I can leave early enough on Friday to catch the Nationwide race. I am very excited to finally get to see a race at Bristol though.

Short Track Saturday Night!

Sorry Walt, I don’t think Kvapil has a chance.
