With our impending cruise coming up in a couple of weeks, it was time to make some decisions.

I had to weigh Laila’s fear of flying versus me not wanting to drive 740 miles home in one day after being on a seven night cruise. Yay, I win again. I ended up booking a round trip flight for the two of us  through Travelocity for just under $400. I did have a little difficulty in finding us seats together though. While, I would prefer to not be seated next to someone with a death grip on the arm rests, she is my spouse, so I will make an exception in this case.

It has also been a couple of years since I have been to a major league baseball game. We bought a couple of tickets in the lower level, seventh row, along the right field line to see the Marlins play the Nationals on the Saturday night before we embark.

I am a little concerned about the cost of cab fare because if I remember correctly the stadium is in far North Miami and we will most likely be staying near the port in South Miami.

We are still attempting to find just the right hotel through Priceline to stay at on Saturday night.
