They killed Mr. Cost Plus

A sign of the times?

Or storm damage?

They killed Mr. Cost Plus!

As I  have driven around the country over the last few months I have noticed a disturbing number of empty car dealerships. A definite sign of the economic times we are living in. The dealership where I bought Laila’s car in Ringgold no longer exists either.

Since I have only lived in Calhoun for a few months it doesn’t hold the same emotional attachment to me as the Indian on the Capitol Cigar Store building that let me know we were almost at my Grandma’s house in Chicago. Still I’m sure it is a remembrance of a by gone era for some.

Here is link to local story on what happened.

And someone’s blog on their meeting of Mr. Cost Plus.
