Thanksgiving is tomorrow and it is my favorite holiday of all. Its probably because it is one of the few, if not the only, holiday that you can make of it what you want.

You can decorate or not. There is no such thing as a Thanksgiving tree or Thanksgiving lights.

There is no mythical being or creature attached to it. Could you imagine having to paint turkey eggs? Which brings up another question, what the heck is a bunny doing with eggs anyway? 

No one expects a card or a gift. No strangers come knocking on my door threatening me if I don't give them candy,

There is no Thanksgiving music or songs. Unfortunately it does kick off the start of Christmas music which in my opinion is if it was any good they would play it all year long.

I like it for all the reasons listed but mostly I like it because it is a day to take it easy, reflect and enjoy the company of those around you. 

I have many things to be thankful for also:

My health.

My love.

People I love and who love me. 

All my beautiful, bright and healthy children.

A new home.

A new job that I enjoy.

A new dog that has learned how to go pee pee outside.
