1. You were not in vehicle at time.
2. You can still drive vehicle.
3. People who did it, came in and told you about it.
4. They actually had insurance.
5. You don’t own the car, the company does.
Not having much luck with vehicles lately it seems.

On Tuesday morning we woke up early, 6 AM, due to a combination of excitement and hunger from missing dinner the evening before. Besides being world class procastinators, Laila and I are both notorious non morning people. (more…)

On Monday we slept in a bit and didn’t leave Orlando until 10 AM. It was a very smooth ride over to Port Canaveral on the toll road. parking was much easier than it was in Jacksonville last year. We got parked in an actual parking garage and took our luggage to the porters. There are large signs everywhere telling you the porters are paid and tipping is unnecessary. Of course it wasn’t until I tipped the porter $5 that he told us we didn’t have to wait in the long line at that end and that there was a shorter line on other side of building.

We got a late start on Saturday to head down to Florida, due to the fact that is what happens when you have two procastinators under one roof. We headed to drop Mollie off at Spa Mammie for the week and headed south around 1 PM. We stopped along the way for our first gourmet meal of the trip at McDonalds. (more…)

One of the funnier incidents that occurred while we were on the cruise was when a very excited couple came up to us before dinner. They were practically gushing as they apologized to me but her and her husband were just sure I was Steve Hayes, a part time contributor to the Fox News Channel. They were just sure because they noticed he had not been on Fox News that day. It was only later I realized how much they must watch the channel to recognize this guy, and secondly you’re on a cruise and you spent all day watching Fox News to know he wasn’t on that day? Grab a cocktail for goodness sakes! That being said they were a very nice couple and at least they didn’t mistake me for a liberal.
Laila and I arrived back in Port Canaveral this morning after our cruise. We are staying in Jacksonville for the evening and will be home to be re united with the menagerie of pets tomorrow. This will probably take me a week to post all pictures and comment on the cruise. I will most likely break down posts in a day by day format to keep from writing a novel. We had a great time and can not wait to go on our next cruise.
I’ve started to post pictures here. Give me about a week to get them all up( well almost all).

The day has finally arrived, the bags are packed (almost), everything is gathered (momentarily), car is gassed (halfway) and we are ready to roll (100%). It has finally arrived and like a 4 year old on Christmas I was up early and ready to launch. We are currently in a weather delay (spouse enshrouded in fog) but soon look to be on the road to Florida.

So I woke up this morning to this news.
In other breaking news President Obama has also been selected as the National League MVP, the American League Cy Young, selected for the footbal hall of fame, yard of the month from the DC civic association, Miss Beef Empire Days and is now a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
All equally deserving, congratulations Mr. President!

So after years of letting ourselves go, the missus and I decided enough was enough. I had gotten so out of shape I couldn’t remember which knee was the good knee and which one I had injured years ago.
Like everything I do things should be simple enough but rarely are.
