Priceline strikes again

We decided we did not want to drive back on Friday when our cruise ship docks, so we headed back to Priceline. Ended up bidding $45 for a 3 star in Jacksonville and it was accepted. A little disappointed, because it’s not on the beach but it is next to the Mayo Clinic. That could prove fortuitous if we come down with some rare tropical disease I guess.

Lailapalooza plans are firming up.

We decided to spend a few days in Orlando or Daytona before we go on the cruise.

So of  course I headed to Priceline to see what they could do for me. Obviously by the picture we ended up in Orlando. We bid $55 for 2 nights for a 3 1/2 Star hotel in the Disney area and were pleasantly surprised by it’s acceptance.  So we are staying at the Royal Plaza near Downtown Disney for $132. Darn Florida tourist taxes.

We have no plans to visit the parks, but I do believe that we will enjoy some dining and night life.

Why don’t they just put a sharp stick in my eye!

There are imposters in the Oiler’s uniforms this year!

I think every body knows how I feel about that.

Just painful.

A few months ago when Laila’s Daddy discovered Scooter’s love of potato chips he started calling him Tater Chip and the name has kind of stuck enough that he will actually come when you call him that. Of course having a bag of Lay’s in your hand doesn’t hurt and you could probably call him pretty much anything. (more…)

Ok, so we made it back safely from the Red Bull Soap Box Derby in Atlanta. My fledgling career as a photographer was not helped by this venture as I took very few pictures despite walking around like a tourist all day.

Here is a video of the event though

We got a late start as we were attempting to purchase AC/DC tickets before we left the house and the computer and ticketmaster were behaving stubbornly. We were successful though. (more…)
